Eggslut has been on my to-try list for the longest time but I’ve always been intimidated by the long lines because it’s hard enough to dine out with a fussy 2-year-old, let alone wait in an hour long line to just order your food. There’s so much hype surrounding eggslut and there are many people who question just how good can it be and why would people wait an hour for just eggs and cheese on a bun? Well, let me tell you, it was definitely worth it for me because I cannot scramble those eggs like how eggslut does it. I ordered their famous Fairfax sandwich, which is basically scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese in a brioche bun. The eggs were cooked perfectly – super fluffy and soft, and the melted cheddar cheese just added to the perfection! It’s such a simple concept, yet the combination of all the ingredients and their method of cooking that perfect scrambled egg makes it such a delicious breakfast sandwich. I’m not a fan of waiting in long lines (who is?!), but I really wanted to try this place so I decided to venture out with my toddler on a Monday morning, we arrived at around 10am and only had to wait in line for 15 minutes! Definitely come here during off-peak hours on weekdays to avoid the line. We ordered at the counter and within minutes our food was ready, service was great and efficient!
